This week has been nothing short of amazing. Judge Executive Kevin Henderson signed my proclamation naming April 14th-21st "Hunger Free Awareness Week" in Grayson County. I designed this proclamation to bring awareness of the struggles many face daily, including a limited supply of healthy food items.
Additionally, on April 14th, I hosted a volunteer event at the Alliance Food Pantry to continue teaching my peers the importance of volunteering. We helped bag food items to prepare the Pantry for distribution on Thursday, April 17th.
I am grateful to be surrounded by a community of individuals who care about the Food Pantry. Helping Grayson County thrive is the reason why I do this work; I love working with the Pantry and with the folks in my community daily. Thank you to everyone who participated in Hunger Free Awareness Week!
